Uar - Professional Audio Equipment

The UAR is a two-unit audio monitoring system: a MASTER unit with the intercom, control keyboard and listening speaker, plus a SLAVE unit that exposes 3-pin XLR connectors for the audio signal inputs and outputs in the other room. A single shielded LAN cable (up to 100 m) carries all the audio between them — no need to run 10 separate XLR lines.

The MASTER keyboard selects the listening source for left and right channels in this order: Channel 1, 2, 3, 4, Aux 1, Aux 2, Program. Each input’s level is adjusted by pressing its button and turning the rotary knob; the bar-LED meter above the knob shows the stored level. A dedicated Intercom button sets the level of an external intercom connected to the MASTER’s XLR IN/OUT.

All audio signals are summed and can be heard on the front speaker, on headphones, or on speakers connected to the rear XLR OUT LEFT/RIGHT (amplified 6 W outputs). TALK activates the gooseneck microphone (push-to-talk if held more than 1 s, hands-free otherwise); MIC MUTE silences the mic and lets you trim its level; SPEAKER MUTE silences the internal speaker and switches to the headset output.

Holding SPEAKER MUTE and turning the left knob adjusts the speaker output level; turning the right knob adjusts the headphone level. The master audio level is adjusted directly with the rotary switches without pressing any button. On power-off, the UAR stores all key states and audio levels in flash memory and restores them on the next power-up.
