BIA - BELTPACK IFB AMPLIFIER COMMUNICATIONS MONITOR WITH EMBEDDED LOUDSPEAKER AND HEADSET JACK
The BIA (Beltpack IFB Amplifier) is a compact, 9 V battery-powered beltpack that lets the commentator listen to the IFB return either on a built-in 0.5 W loudspeaker or on a headphone. It pairs with a producer intercom such as the TBP8.
Key features:
- Selectable limiter prevents clipping distortion and protects hearing on earpieces and headphones.
- Built-in 0.5 W loudspeaker and amplifier; amplifier is cut when headphones are connected.
- Loop-through male and female XLR connectors let several units run from a single feed.
- Headphone output on a 6.35 mm "A" gauge jack.
Input gain is controlled by a potentiometer plus a 0/20 dB gain switch; the limiter ensures a safe listening level over a wide input range. Compatible with similar products from other manufacturers.
