When a radio reporter has to broadcast live but no phone lines and no satellite links are available, the GAI (GSM Audio Interface) is the right tool: a connection to the studio over a GSM phone network with excellent audio quality.

With the GAI you can send your radio service fastly and from anywhere in the world where a GSM network is available. The unit is a small 1 RU 19" metal box (1/3-width) that fits in any OB van for broadcast audio and video work, and can also be used as a normal phone line via a standard BCA socket.

One of the great features of the GAI is the ability to talk using a professional microphone and listen to the return directly from a loudspeaker, with no interference from the GSM network. The unit contains a worldwide quad-band GSM module controlled by keyboard and LCD on the front panel, and a rear connector for the future internal-modem use.
