BETA93 - videorecorders change over
portable editing system (component signal)
ELMAN's new BETA 93 change over is a device that ought
to be in every video editing studio.
BETA 93 enables to switch with extreme ease the outputs of
two playing recorders into the input of a recording one.
This unit accomplishes the change over function of all the
signals used in an editing operation.
These signals are:
- VIDEO
- DUB BETA/COMPONENT BETA
- AUDIO 1
- AUDIO 2
- TIME CODE
- REMOTE CONTROL (RS422)
This enables the full utilisation of playing and
recording units, moreover it enables to intervene on the player that is not in use to
preset the tape's position for the next sequence.
BETA 93's features fully comply with broadcast requirements
which have brought the product to be widely approved among national and international
broadcasters.
The front panel is made up of the power supply switch and
of the switching controls for the video-recorders.
All switches are protected by an enabling switch (ENABLE),
to avoid unwanted operations during editing.
On the rear connecting board are located the following connectors:
- AUDIO 1: INPUT A - INPUT B - OUTPUT
- AUDIO 2: INPUT A - INPUT B - OUTPUT
- TIME CODE: INPUT A - INPUT B - OUTPUT
- REMOTE CONTROL: A - B - OUTPUT
- DUB/COMPONENT: INPUT A - INPUT B - OUTPUT (12 pin)
- VIDEO: INPUT A - INPUT B - OUTPUT
- CHANGE OVER REMOTE CONTROL
- 220 VAC POWER SUPPLY INLET
