CO/VSDA - AUTOMATIC CHANGEOVER FOR SDI AUDIO AND VIDEO
The CO/VSDA is a 1/3-width 1 RU 19" audio/video changeover that switches to the emergency feed the moment the principal signals drop. Three operating modes are available from the front panel.
In AUTO mode the CO/VSDA swaps from the principal feed to the backup after the delay set on the time control, and returns to the principal feed as soon as the signal is restored. In SEMI-AUT mode the changeover arms itself but waits for operator confirmation. In MANUAL mode the operator drives the switch with key A or B — the same switch can also be triggered via a remote control.
A passive by-pass circuit keeps input A wired straight through to the output if power is lost or the unit fails, so the principal signal is never interrupted.
