Gpirepeater - Professional Video Equipment

The GPI (General Purpose Interface) is a sync signal produced by some consumer and professional equipment and routed to compatible equipment — for example, to trigger a video transition or effect on a mixer from an editing controller at a precise point in the timeline.

El.Man’s GPI Repeater packs 32 independent circuits into a 2 RU 19" chassis, each with 1 GPI input and 3 GPI outputs. The 3 outputs can drive 3 different devices that need to receive the same command simultaneously. Because the outputs are electrically isolated, you avoid the voltage-difference damage that happens when you simply parallel GPI lines.

Two parallel power supplies keep the unit alive if one fails (a front-panel LED signals the failure), and the failed supply is hot-swappable.
