Gvi1224 - Professional Video Equipment

The GVI 1224 is a video identification generator for TV studios, on-air rooms and videoconference systems where you need to recognise the origin of a video signal at a glance. It superimposes up to 12 text lines of 24 characters each on the incoming video.

Character selection is via the front-panel push buttons. An external keyboard — either a simple one (same buttons as the front panel) or a full alphanumeric one — makes text entry much faster. You can store up to 10 user pages and recall them on demand.

A rechargeable Ni-Cd battery keeps the page memory alive for over two years without mains power, so your preset labels are always there when the unit comes back up.
