You get a broadcast-grade four-input digital video mixer in a single 1 RU chassis. The SE-800 accepts analogue and DV sources, converts them on the fly and drives a programme output with full chroma key, picture-in-picture, mosaic and a 30-key control surface for instant recall of pre-set effects.

A "PC link" digital overlay port lets you import PC text and graphics into the live signal.

The full-size control panel includes 30 pre-programmable keys, so you fire any pre-set effect with a single key press.

The data control port enables firmware upgrades via a PC.

Key features

Dual-channel TBC with YUV 4:2:2 frame synchroniser for Composite, S (Y/C) and Component Y.U.V. inputs and outputs. Each input accepts DV (DV25), Component YUV, S (Y/C) or Composite video and converts the output to any of those formats.

SDI overlay port provides a digital Y.U.V. in/out connection — connect a PC expansion graphics card or an SDI chroma keyer to overlay PC text, graphics and chroma key effects on the live signal.

Colour processor with R.G.B. correction: every input can store its own colour settings.

Programmable area for Mosaic effects with joystick position control.

Digital effects: A/B Roll, A/B Dissolve, Chroma Key, Mosaic, PIP, Strobe, Fade and Wipe with soft edge.

30 instant pre-programmable playback keys, plus a four-channel stereo audio mixer with microphone and headphone connections.

The unit ships in an aluminium case for safe transport.
